At Split Rock Mountain, the overall physical and mental well-being of your horse is paramount. All horses graze freely, in groups suited to their age and temperament, with the opportunity to exercise, stretch, roll, relax and socialise. 

Regular faecal worm egg counts are carried out on site and horses wormed only when required, reducing the risk of drug resistance developing. Particular attention is paid to hoof care, with your horse's hooves checked regularly and trimmed as required. Annual vaccinations and dental checks are also organised, with comprehensive records kept of all treatments.

Young horses are handled carefully from the start ensuring they grow up calm, confident and well behaved. They are weaned in a stress-free manner and carefully integrated with suitable older horses. If your horse is elderly, appropriate care will be provided  to ensure a relaxed, happy and healthy retirement.
