Premier Horse Agistment

Split Rock Mountain

Services

At Split Rock Mountain, the physical and mental welfare of your horse is paramount. All horses graze freely, in spacious paddocks, in groups suited to their age and temperament. Horses are able to exercise, explore, stretch, roll, relax and socialize at will.

Regular faecal worm egg counts are carried out on site and horses wormed only when required, reducing the risk of the development of drug resistance. Particular attention is paid to hoof care, with your horse's hooves checked regularly by a master farrier and trimmed if required. Annual vaccinations, dental and health checks are also organized, with comprehensive records kept of all treatments.

Horses are checked daily and are treated calmly and with respect, taking account of their individual differences in temperament. Young horses are carefully integrated with suitable older horses, ensuring they grow up calm, confident and well mannered. Elderly horses receive particularly careful and sympathetic care providing them with a healthy and contented retirement.
